Paul Lurbin Caplener Jr., 48, of Hilo died April 18 at the Hilo Medical Center. Andrew “Andy” Apau San Akina Kahili, 78, of Hilo died Thursday, April 19, at Hilo Medical Center. Born in Hilo, he was formally a machinist with Hilo Iron Works, a factory superintendent with Hilo Coast Processing Mill, a substitute janitor with Chiefess Kapiolani School, and a security officer with Aloha Security. A graduate of Kamehameha Schools; he was a former member of numerous bowling leagues and the Hawaii Ballroom Dance Association.
